Biography

Pastor Rick Dunn is the Executive Director of Gateway Leadership Initiative, a non-profit, assessment & training organization for Church Planters. Rick has 32 years of leadership experience in both Mega-Church, Church Plants & Para Church ministries, with a focus on ministry strategy, leadership development and discipleship.

He has served on the staff of several Mega-Churches including Willow Creek Community Church, Coast Hills Community Church and the Rock Church in San Diego, Ca where he was the Chief Strategist. Most recently Rick serves on staff of Captivate Church in San Diego as the Executive Pastor. Rick is also the founder of Global Frontiers Project, following his passion to see the Nations have opportunity to know the name of Jesus Christ through Church Planing.

Rick has served on several Boards & Committee including the Lausanne Strategy Committee, Grove Center for Arts & Media, Ride for Water, and iThink Big. Rick also served as a Sheriff Chaplain for 10 years in Orange County, California.

Rick and his wife Mary-Beth, reside in Point Loma, California. They have three sons Tucker, Ty & Trey and three amazing grand children Greyson, Claire, Ella.
