Mary-Beth picked Brandon up at the Seattle Airport on Sundaay
Mary-
Mary-Beth picked Brandon up at the airport on Sunday and today was our first day of riding. We rode from Seattle to Denny Creek Campground a 70 mile ride. It was a beautiful ride, most of it pretty mellow, but we did have a few of exciting moments.

Here are a few: 1) A bridge on the trail we were riding was closed for repairs, but without an alternative route, we climbed around the barricades and walked across anyway. 2) The trail required us to walk up a steep & narrow hiking trail up the side of a mountain for .8 of a mile. 3) As we were nearing the last five miles of our journey, our map was wanting us to make a left turn onto a service, road, but we did not see the road to turn off. The our map told us to make a U-turn, we went back to find the road. I found it, below a 100 foot high suspension bridge. The only way to get to it was to scale 80 down a steep mountain with our bikes, no easy task! 4). In the last 5 miles of the ride before we reached the camp, Brandon had a flat tire. A bummer.
Even with all the excitement, it was a great day of riding.
