Today’s ride was through the rolling hills of Eastern Washington. The landscape was littered with Alfalfa, corn, and onions fields and lots of cattle. It was a really hot day at 92 degrees, and throughout the day I drank about 2 gallons of water…thats a lot of water to put away!

We had a mid-day meet up with Mary-Beth and the RV in Ritzville, WA to get out of the sun and into the A/C for a bit and restock our water bottles & electrolytes. We finished the day with a final 24 miles into camp where we had an ice-cold drink, a shower and a delicious dinner all care of Mary-Beth.
We will be up early tomorrow to try to beat the heat on another 70 + mile ride to Coeur d’ Allene. My first state will be in the books tomorrow. Looking forward to my first rest day this Sunday.
