It is Saturday so we slept until 6:30 and had a little gentler rhythm to the day. I rode off at 8:45. We decided to meet halfway in Whitehall at a coffee shop to refill my water and have lunch.

I arrived a few minutes before Mary-Beth, she was gassing up “THOR”, but when I rolled up to the address for the coffee shop there was no coffee shop. We ended up at the local farmers market which was enjoyable. We bought some fresh eggs and had some fun conversations with the locals.

We prayed before I rode out in the morning for an easier day of riding, and it truly was. There were beautiful landscapes and though there were some significant uphill & narrow roads today that was more than matched by some amazing downhill runs, one was over 10 miles long!

After I arrived at the campsite and showered I made dinner to give Mary-Beth a break from all the meal preps, we decided on egg tacos…delicious!!

After dinner we took our customary walk around camp and found this cool old stagecoach. The stagecoach took Mary-Beth way back by reminding her of her great grandpa heading west in a covered wagon. We are pretty sure he didn’t have GPS, air conditioning, or a campground with full hook ups! Makes this road trip feel like a luxury cross country journey!

Tomorrow we are taking a much needed rest day and will head to Bozeman for church. Thanks for joining us on the journey!
