Well, this birthday is one for the memory books! Mary-Beth read me the weather forecast which said there would be wind from 9-10 am. I rode out around 8:30 am and right out the gate I had a strong head wind, as if the hills were not enough of a challenge. My birthday gift was that the hills and the wind lasted all day.

Although I rode my fast bike, it was a slow burn all day. At some points I was down to 6mph, my best would have been in the 20’s. I will admit the day took it out of me, I was exhausted on arriving in Harrison.

This photo above is me after today’s ride.
We had a wonderful birthday celebration, Mary-Beth took me out to the saloon, the only restaurant in Harrison for a fantastic steak dinner and then we topped it off with a homemade peach pie and gifts. I am blessed!
Tomorrow is a well earned rest day. Thanks for joining us on the journey!
