I am surprised how many firsts I have had on this trip, but they keep coming and today was no exception. I was 4 miles out from our campground and I ran into a railroad crossing with a very long train moving very slowly. The train would move forward for then it would back up, then it would move forward, then it would back up again.

After waiting about an hour and still seeing the same train cars in front of me, I decided I needed to do something or I was never going to get to the campsite. I rolled up to the light blue train car, pulled my bike up on the back wheel and lifted it onto the train car.

Once I got the bike up, I hopped on the train. Hoping it would not start moving, I stood up, rolled my bike through to the opposite side and lifted my bike down to the ground and jumped off after it, before the strain started moving. I was at the campsite in 20 minutes after that. It was actually quite fun.

The second most exciting thing for the day was we moved into our 6th state, the State of Iowa, God willing we will arrive at the Illinois Boder next Saturday.
