Today started out with a major rain storm that continued through out my 43 mile ride to Crown Point. When I met Mary-Beth just down from the Old Court House in the town square, I was soaked to the bone. I thought it was best to get a hot shower and call it a day.
In addition my friend Tony Sorci lives in Crown Point and has his design studio in the Old Court House. I had texted Tony earlier in the day that I would be in town. Mary-Beth and I found a coffee shop ordered some hot drinks and waited for Tony.
We drank, talked and then left to go across the street and get a tour of Tony’s Studio in the old Law Library & Judges Chambers in the court house. It was a great space, you can feel the creativity oozing from the place. Before we left we had to get a picture of Mary-Beth hanging out in the courtroom.
After our visit Mary-Beth and I went to the Laundromat to wash & dry my clothes for the day and get to our campsite at Cedar Lake Campground, a part of a Christian Retreat Center on Cedar Lake. Tony & his wife Pam picked us up for dinner at a great spot, The Lighthouse right on the lake. It was an evening of great food and a time to catch up.

We got back to the campsite pretty late and I still needed to get things hooked up for the night. Gratefully the rain stopped and I am hoping for a dry ride tomorrow.
Thanks for joining us on the journey!
