Day #39 Biking Across America – Crown Point to Rochester Indiana 80 Miles

Today we once again woke up to rain drops on the roof of our RV at Lake Cedar outside of Crown Point. I was hoping for a bit of a reprieve from the rain, but it was not looking good.

By the time we got dressed, ate breakfast and hit the road the rain had stopped and gratefully I rode the entire day without a drop of rain. It was a very midwest day, hot and muggy! But really enjoyed the ride and the beautiful scenery. Even met the guy you see in this video out to catch some fish in the river.

As I rode out Main Street, I was inspired by all the old homes that lined the streets and their unique architecture. Here is an example of one that stood out, a stately victorian home that has recently been remodeled and is for sale, in case you want to move to Crown Point.

We are staying at a pristine campground called Tippecanoe River Run on the Tippecanoe River. The Campground has a lush green canopy of trees and nicely mowed grass right up to the rivers edge. The river was covered in mist this evening.

Thanks for joining us in the journey!
