Well, it was great to take the entire weekend off and enjoy Ft. Wayne. We were staying at a campground right in downtown on the St. Joseph River called Johnny Appleseed Park. It was a great spot and really peaceful place.
Saturday morning we let ourselves wake up without an alarm which was restful all in itself. We were planning on going out to breakfast so we took an Uber to the Farmers Market. There was a restaurant a couple blocks from there we wanted to try, but turns out they are closed on Saturday, so we ate at the Farmers Market.
We met some new friends there as we shared a stand up table. They recommend a nice coffee shop for us to visit as well as a dinner recommendation at Club Soda. We enjoyed both!
Sunday we went to church and then headed back to the campground to relax and enjoy the afternoon with some reading and time in my journal. Then it was time to prep for today’s ride.
Today we left Indiana and I rode into Ohio. We are heading toward Akron, we should be there on Thursday where Trey will fly in to meet us on Saturday and ride with me into DC next week. It’s hard to believe this Epic Bike Journey will be coming to a close soon!

Tonight we are staying at a Harvest Host called Quarry Farms & Farm animal sanctuary. The photo above is fresh sourdough, and cinnamon/raisin bread and jams that we bought in their store. That is typically how Harvest Host works. You get to stay somewhere local and either donate or buy something if they have a little store.
We are really enjoying harvest season in the midwest, so grateful to be here!

Thanks for joining us on the journey!
